About Us

Your specialised, down to earth Dargaville lawyers and legal solutions partners.

A Kaipara-based, client focused and result driven law firm

Hammonds Law are Dargaville lawyers who have the commitment, experience and ability to deal with complex work as well as our clients’ day-to-day legal needs. We’re local and small enough to provide a personal service yet well-resourced to provide practical and effective legal advice in our main areas of expertise.

The business was established back in 1901, when the region was known as the “roadless north”, the kauri gum trade was in its heyday, and Dargaville was just a small but flourishing settlement in the North. Today, we are a modern law firm with a highly skilled and specialised team that’s proud to deliver value and excellent service.

Most of our clients live and work in the Kaipara and lower Northland region, but we also act on behalf of clients who are based elsewhere in New Zealand and overseas.

Our Promise

We practice law to meet your needs

To continue to improve the quality of our client service, we acknowledge that our clients are the most important part of our firm. That’s why we focus on being empathetic and respectful, value integrity and are always professional. We listen to our clients’ issues and communicate with clear pathways and cost expectations. We take pride in our work and strive for excellence.
